As the Holiday Season fades from the rearview mirror, the students of Jasper CEO are now shifting gears toward the conceptualization and creation of their individual businesses. Those readers who have followed students along their entrepreneurial journey thus far know that they have engaged with and learned from a host of community leaders and business experts as well as immersed themselves in the development of a class business.
Thus far, the class members have worked primarily as a team through both the badge business and the class business. The experience from the challenges and successes of those experiences have exposed CEO participants to the processes involved in creating a business and prepared them for the bumps and potholes sure to lie ahead on the road to their individual business.
As the young entrepreneurs of Jasper County ideate and develop their business plans, they have also been matched with a mentor from the local business community. The mentor acts as a sounding board and advisor for the student to help them navigate their business journey. Mentors are a great resource for the students and we are grateful for the time and energy they are willing to invest in the future leaders of the Jasper County.
As the students of Jasper CEO continue to develop their local network and the adaptive skills that CEO emphasizes, they now have the opportunity to apply their experience to the design and creation of their own business that will be showcased at the local trade show that will take place in the spring.
