Newton Care Center Contract Employee Tests Positive

To continue to provide full transparency, Newton Care Center had (1) contract employee test positive for COVID in the last 24 hours. The positive employee was in PPE and is currently off work. We are monitoring all staff and Residents for any signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

Please note the exposure of the positive employee did NOT occur within the facility. Out of an abundance of caution, we will test all Residents and employees to ensure no further positive test results. Outdoor visitation remains restricted until we have passed a 14-day quarantine of any positives. We will notify our families when we are able to open back up for outdoor visitation.

We understand this is a difficult and scary time for our Residents, families and employees. We encourage our families and friends to continue connecting with our Residents through video chat, texting, window visits, ecards, or other social media formats.

COVID is not going away and is especially scary for our most vulnerable. We want to remind our FB family to wear your masks, social distance and practice good hand hygiene to help slow the spread. THANK YOU for your continued support! We never waiver from our mission will remain – Residents First, Employees Always – even in this Pandemic!
