Newton Marching Eagles Earn 3rd Place at Effingham Red Regiment Invitational
The Newton Marching Eagles continued their impressive 2025 season with a strong performance at the Effingham Red Regiment Invitational, earning 3rd place in Class 3A. Competing among talented bands from across the region, Newton also ranked as the 6th highest scoring ensemble overall out of 26 total bands spanning six competitive classes.
The band’s 2025 field show, “Pipe Dreams,” has been steadily gaining recognition for its creativity, musicality, and precision on the field. Under the direction of their staff and leadership team, the Marching Eagles have shown consistent growth and energy throughout their fall season.
Up next, the Marching Eagles will host the Newton Band Classic on Friday, October 18th, at NCHS. The first band is tentatively scheduled to take the field at 10:15 a.m., with the Newton Marching Eagles performing “Pipe Dreams” at approximately 2:45 p.m. (times are subject to change pending the addition of more bands to the lineup).
The community is invited to attend and support the Marching Eagles as they showcase their talent on their home field.
