Newton Marching Eagles Earn Top Honors in Auxiliary and Percussion at EIU Festival

The Newton Marching Eagles turned in another strong performance this weekend, competing at the Eastern Illinois University Panthers Marching Band Festival. Performing their 2025 field show “Pipe Dreams,” the Eagles impressed both the crowd and judges, bringing home multiple awards in Class B.

Newton earned Outstanding Auxiliary and Outstanding Percussion honors, showcasing the talent, discipline, and precision of the entire program. Their efforts also secured a 2nd Place finish overall in Class B, further highlighting the group’s consistency and growth throughout the season.

The show “Pipe Dreams” has quickly become a fan favorite, blending powerful musical moments with intricate drill formations. The auxiliary and percussion sections drew special recognition for their excellence, underscoring the well-rounded strength of the Marching Eagles.

The Newton Marching Eagles will continue their competitive season with upcoming performances as they work to build on this success and keep their momentum going.
