From October 1st through October 18, Jasper County HCE (Home and Community Education) members will be selling Butter Braids/Caramel Rolls to benefit “Support of Youth Activities” which includes the HCE $500 Scholarship, Books for Beginners, Toys For Kids, etc. Delivery date is Monday, November 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Center 1401 Clayton Ave. Newton, IL. Butter braids come in six flavors: apple, cherry, cinnamon, cream cheese, raspberry, and strawberry cream cheese. Also, caramel rolls will be available for sale. Butter braids are a 1 lb 6 oz braided pastry (icing included) that will serve 11 people. Just allow the frozen pastry to thaw and rise for eight to ten hours or until it is double in size, then bake for a great, homemade tasting pastry. Each Butter braid/caramel roll is $15.
