The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by proclamation according to law by Sheriff Francis.
In addition to celebrating the four NCHS Senior Lady Eagles basketball players, the crowd got the opportunity to celebrate the breaking of a school record. Lily Kessler, Emma Nadler, Elley Bennett, and Macy Barthelemy along with their parents were recognized for their time playing and supporting the Newton Lady Eagles.
The Newton Eagles defeated the Marshall Lions with a final score of 63-49. Scoring for the Eagles included: Parker Wolf with 19 points, Caden Nichols with 18 points, Jacob Weber with 9 points, Gus Bierman with 8 points, Dylan Gier with 6 points, and Max Meinhart with 3 points. Newton.
