The Eagles and Lady Eagles held their first annual Meet the Eagles basketball night. This night was a fun-filled night with an alumni game for both the Eagles alumni and Lady Eagles alumni as well as scrimmages showcasing the Eagles and Lady Eagles before the start of their 2023-24 season.
Leonard Kessler, 82, of Ingraham, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Leonard was born May 29, 1941 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Edwin and Helen (Kuenstler) Kessler. He married Norma Bahl on July 11, 1967 at St. Joseph Church in Stringtown, and she survives. The Newton Lady Eagles begin their season tomorrow with a home opener against Fairfield. The JV will tip off at 6 pm. We would like to wish the Lady Eagles the best of luck in their 2023-24 season. We do still have openings on our books for the basketball season
