Lady Eagles Fall to T-town

Lady Eagles Place Third at Pana Tournament
The Newton Lady Eagles placed third at the Pana/Shelbyville Invite. The Lady Eagles defeated Shelbyville in two sets of 25-19 and 25-16 and Effingham 25-19 and 25-22. The Eagles fell to St. Thomas More in two with scores of 17-25 and 19-25 and Rochester with scores of 24-26 and 14-25.

County Board Discusses Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act
On Thursday, October 10 the Jasper County Board met for the regularly scheduled October meeting. Board members present included: Bollman, Leffler, Fehrenbacher, Hall, Heltsley, Hickox, Kerner, Pickens, Swick, Warfel, Michl and Weddell.
