Job Title: IT Specialist
Reports to: IT Director
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Requirements:
Prior experience in data processing equipment, software and general technology, preferred. The
selected candidate will require a person with a commitment to network security, good trouble-shooting
skills, persistence in solving technical issues and leadership qualities.
Specific Job Duties:
Research and identify technology needs and make recommendations regarding new systems
and existing systems
Primary liaison officer with software and hardware vendors
Coordinate disaster planning and testing
Support bank’s local area and wide area network hardware and software
Support and manage the ISP services
Attend technical seminars to stay abreast of current trends and new products
Evaluate the company’s adherence to state and federal laws and security regulations
Manage the IT team including employees, security analysts, support technicians and other
vendors, software vendors and technical support for managed services
Routine schedule of maintenance including: manage and verify backups, resolve security alerts,
verify server health, monitor disk space, software updates, monthly reports, scheduling security
testing, performing in-house DR tests.
Perform hardware installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting; determine necessary
hardware for PCs, servers and switches and printers; trouble-shoot as problems arise
Install, update and maintain a variety of software including: Microsoft OS, Server OS, MS Office,
Anti-Virus, PC imaging, and core banking applications
Maintain security for the network including: work closely with security vendor, coordinate other
vendors’ level of access, establish bank guidelines and hardening procedures, employee training
and awareness of security risks, ensure company adheres to required compliance institutions
Assist users with a multitude of computer problems from instruction to trouble-shooting
Establish and evaluate Policies and Procedures to meet regulations and security requirements
Manage and maintain phone system
Manage and maintain ATMs
Required Competencies:

Education and Experience:
• Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or Information Technology related
field, preferred
