On November 3rd, 2023, at approximately 10:52 P.M. Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on County Road 900 E just south of County Road 700 N in rural Jasper County. When Deputies arrived on scene, they found the driver trapped in the vehicle and
unresponsive. Members of the Wade Community Fire Department, the Jasper County Ambulance
Service, and Deputies worked to free the driver from the vehicle. The driver, later identified as 24-year-
old Landon K. Tracy of Robinson, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger 23-year-old David D.
Goff of Robinson was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham with non-life
threatening injuries.
