The Jasper County COVID-19 Advisory Group is working very diligently with a regional group
on a reopening plan. This group meets daily and discusses all information with many different
entities / experts from all fields working with the COVID-19 Pandemic. Jasper County has been
grouped in with the Champaign Health Region for reopening purposes. Our group has a plan in
draft form that will be submitted to the Governor soon, with hopes of approval in place by early
next week. This plan would allow earlier opening of many businesses in a healthy and safe
manner.
We, as a collective group, understand the financial impact our local businesses have felt over the
past several weeks. With that in mind, we MUST continue to work as a TEAM to support each
other as we move forward. We are striving to reopen businesses as soon as possible and
appreciate your support in this process.
We appreciate the residents of Jasper County! We want to re-emphasize to ALL that we need
EVERYONE to continue to help us and each other as these plans are approved and
implemented. We MUST continue to hold each other accountable in means of staying healthy –
every life matters!!!!
