On Monday November 11th at approx. 2:45 P.M. the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of E St. HWY 33 & N 2100th St. This accident occurred during poor weather and road conditions. A sport utility vehicle driven by 24 year old Austin Brasfield was east bound on Illinois State Highway 33 when he collided with a west bound semi-tractor trailer driven by 49 year old Troy Jennings. Brasfield and his passenger, 34 year old Joy Gaddis, were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Gaddis later died at the hospital from injuries sustained from the accident. Brasfield’s conditions are unknown at this time. Jennings was not injured. The accident is still under investigation.
