Randall “Randy” L. Manning, 59 of Newton, IL passed away on June 13, 2022, at 1:41 P.M. at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Randall Leroy Short (Manning) was born on November 25, 1962, in Robinson, IL, Son of Ralph Leroy Short and Judith Lynn (Huddlestun) Short. Randall attended Newton Community High school. Randall Manning married Linda (Fugate) Manning on March 29, 1980. Randy worked at Newton Broom Company for twenty-one years. Randy was also a truck driver for Schneider. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing in the area softball leagues. He also enjoyed camping,fishing, woodworking, and mushroom hunting. Randy enjoyedwatching his favorite teams Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Bears.
Randy was preceded in death by Ralph Short (Father), Clone and Thelma Short (Grandparents), Forrest and Dorothy Huddlestun (Grandparents), Danny Manning and Paul McClure (Father), John and Isabel Manning-Clark (Grandparents), Jake Clark (Grandfather) and Oscar and Ruth Fugate (Father In-lawand Mother-In law), Robert Guisleman (Brother In-Law). Randy is survived by Linda Manning (Spouse), Judith L. McClure (Mother), Children: Christina (Manning) Gaultney (Jake) and Shawn Manning (Alyssa) and Grandchildren: Halle Gaultney, Chelsey Gaultney (Boulb), Jase Manning, Raelynn Manning, and Cambree Brown, Brother In-Laws, and Sister In-Laws: JeanAnn Guisleman, Charles and Darlene Fugate, Sharon Garman, Oscar Jr. (Chip) and Lynette Fugate, and Danny Fugate & JoAnne Robinette.
A celebration of life will be held later.
