Rudy Joseph Dierkens, age 38, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 AM – Thursday, May 6, 2021.
Private family services will be held, with burial in the Greenup Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. Rudy Joseph Dierkens was born on May 23, 1982, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Randy Lee Dierkens, Sr. and Mary Margaret (Kemp) Dierkens.
Rudy was a hard worker and took pride in his jobs.
Rudy was a family man and enjoyed spending much of his time with his children, nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed fixing up cars, listening to music and attending family gatherings. Rudy will be dearly missed by his mother, father, sister, brother, his children, all family members and friends. Rudy could light up a room with his smile and had no problem bringing laughter to everyone. He also had a lot of love in his heart no matter how hard life was he could lift you up when you were down. We know Rudy is at peace with our Lord now and that God has made a special place for him in Heaven.
Rudy is survived by his parents, Randy and Mary; his children Elijah Joseph Dierkens, Kaleb Mathew Dierkens and Janessa Miracle Dawn Dierkens. He is also survived by his sister, Stephanie (Antonio) Kilgore Sr, his brother Randy (Ashley) Dierkens Jr; his grandmother, Connie Dierkens, and his five nieces and nephews, Antonio Kilgore
Jr, Kayla Kilgore, Chloe Kilgore, Zachery Dierkens and Adelynn Dierkens.
Rudy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Dierkens, Herman and Amanda Kemp.
