Semple Named to Facilities Management Team at Peoples State Bank
New manager brings plenty of experience to Wireless Internet Services
Newton (June 16, 2020) – Peoples State Bank welcomed Evan Semple at the end of 2019 to assist
Facilities Manager, Gary Johnson, with building management. He also oversees PeoplesNet wireless
internet services. In this role, Evan assists customers in determining what internet packages best fit their
needs. In addition to PeoplesNet services, Evan is responsible for phone and network systems, ATM
networks, facilities maintenance, disaster recovery, branch operations and more.
“With the bank’s recent growth now serving nine locations across five counties, we have expanded our
Facilities Management Department. Evan is well-qualified to take the lead of our PeoplesNet internet
services. He is highly motivated in both areas and has proven to be a great fit with Peoples State Bank,”
said Stacy Moore, President.
Evan received an Associate Degree in Telecommunications and a Bachelor Degree in Business
Management. He most recently managed broadband services at Montrose Mutual Telephone Co. and
has experience with other regional communications companies. During his service in the U.S. Army, he
specialized in communications and electronics from 2003 to 2007. Evan resides in rural Wheeler with his
wife, Melissa, and daughter, Scarlett. He is a member of the Jasper County 911 Board and the American
Legion, Post 932.
