Shawn William Bracken, age 61, of Calhoun, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun, Illinois. In loving memory of Shawn memorials may be made to the Meyer Funeral Home or via the link on the website.

Shawn was born on December 7, 1962, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Charles and Hesta (Robinson) Bracken. Shawn enjoyed nature, a love he shared with his son Kaleb. Together they spent many hours fishing, the time they spent together will forever be cherished by his son and grandchildren. His grandchildren will also hold fond memories of walking to get “Sodie pop” at the community center. His faithful companion, dog AD, was always by his side.

Grandchildren- Sahannah and Kainen Bracken with their mother Whitney Kasinger
Siblings- Linda (Jackie) Beal of Browns, Illinois; Ronnie Bracken of Fairfield, Illinois and Betty McVaigh of Calhoun, Illinois
Niece’s- Amanda (Patrick) Szewczyk of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and her children Joseph, Chloe, Amira, Keira and Roman
Amelia (Shawn) McPheron of Calhoun, Illinois and her daughter Morgan
Nephew- Jason (Chelsie) Beal of Brown. Illinois
Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, sister Johnann Duncan, brother Randy Bracken and brother-in-law Bert McVaigh.
