The Silk Purse in Newton will be expanding their current facility at 8626 N. State Highway 130 in Newton. Currently, the Silk Purse has outgrown the current building and will double in size after the expansion.
The Silk Purse thrift store offers a full range of items for home, personal, and professional use. All of the items have been donated and all of the proceeds from the sales go to support the ministries of the Family Life Center.
Terri Brewer, general manager, states, ” We never could have imagined our facility would need to grow this quickly. There is a great need in our community for the services provided both by the items available at the Silk Purse and the services offered at the Family Life Center. It is an honor and a blessing to be able to be a part of this and we look forward to serving the community for many years to come. Thank you to all of our donors, the community, and those we service for their dedication and commitment to both the Silk Purse and the Family Life Center.”
The Silk Purse’s hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.
