NEWTON, Illinois – June 23, 2026 – The Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Matthew Haskett has been awarded the 2026 Eagle Country Water Works Jasper CEO Scholarship. Matthew will receive a scholarship of $1,000 for pursuing business and CDL training at Lake Land College.
The Eagle Country Water Works Jasper CEO Scholarship was established in 2015 to provide ongoing support to Jasper County CEO students. This scholarship is available to juniors and seniors enrolled in the Jasper County CEO class who plan to pursue a business-related field of study, such as finance, economics, general business, or marketing.
The Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation manages over 200 funds dedicated to the immediate and long-term benefit of communities in Southeastern Illinois.
