St. Thomas Baseball Defeats Palestine 12-2 in Five

The St. Thomas Saints held their season opener on Tuesday with a win in five innings and a final score of 12-2. The winning pitcher, Carter Barthelme, pitched four and one-third innings with nine strikeouts. Top hitters for the game were Quincy Fulton with three for four including an in park homerun and a double, Beau Bennett going two for three with two singles, and Mason Buerster going two for three with two singles as well.

This win brings the Saints to a record of 1-0 and their next game is Friday at home versus Siegel St. Michael at 4:30 pm.
