Kindergarten Position
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Newton, IL is looking for a dedicated and
energetic Kindergarten teacher to work with an amazing staff to help shape the futures
of our youngest learners. We are a Catholic institution committed to providing a high-
quality, faith-focused education that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
The Role:
Foster a safe and cooperative classroom environment where students can develop social
and emotional skills.
Assess student performance and progress to ensure they are mastering key skills.
Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding their child’s
development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching credential.
Passion for early childhood education and a love for working with young children.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required.
