St. Thomas’ Mrs. Bierman Honored with WTHI-TV’s “Make A Difference Award”
It was a morning full of smiles, cheers, and heartfelt emotion at St. Thomas School as Mrs. Bierman was surprised with WTHI-TV’s “Make A Difference Award”, a prestigious honor recognizing individuals who have made a profound and positive impact on their community.
The surprise took place during the school’s morning meeting, prayer, and pledge time on Tuesday, October 14, when a WTHI-TV crew arrived to capture the touching moment. Students, staff, and even Mrs. Bierman’s family—who joined in secretly for the surprise— were all on hand to celebrate the recognition.
Adding to the excitement, the school was awash in blue as students and staff created a “Sea of Blue” by wearing St. Thomas shirts and blue tops to honor Mrs. Bierman. The sight of the entire school gathered in support made the occasion even more memorable.
The “Make A Difference Award” shines a spotlight on those who inspire others through kindness, dedication, and service—qualities Mrs. Bierman demonstrates every day. Her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to her students and the St. Thomas community have touched countless lives.
It was a beautiful moment of recognition for someone who truly embodies what it means to make a difference. Congratulations to Mrs. Bierman on this well-deserved honor, and thank you for continuing to inspire and uplift those around you—both in and beyond the classroom.
