St. Thomas Catholic School recognized all of their athletes at their Sports Awards Night on May 20th. 5th-8th grade athletes received a certificate of participation and each coach gave out special awards to their teams. Our Star Spangled Banner singers were also recognized. St. Thomas had a lot to be proud of during the 2023-2024 school year.
Special annual awards given out were the Bill McReynolds award, presented to the 8th grade girl and boy voted on by coaches for their overall dedication, attitude, and accomplishments. This year the awards went to Alani Bergbower and Quincy Fulton.
The Nick Volk Award is given in memory of Nick, to the 8th grade track athlete who shares a positive attitude, strong work ethic and love for the sport as Nick did. This year’s award was presented to Maleah Miller.
St. Thomas is saying goodbye to several amazing coaches as their youngest child/grandchild graduated. Thanks to Shasta and John Bennett, Charlie Schackmann, Courtney Miller and Clint Bergbower for the many hours they have devoted to St. Thomas athletics.
We are thankful to be able to offer athletics to our kids starting in 5th grade with the help of wonderful volunteer coaches and parents.
