The Newton Lady Eagles Track and Field team had two placements in the state finals at EIU. The 4 x 400 relay team of Sydney Kinder, Karasyn Martin, Rylea Borgic, and Laney Hemrich placed seventh and Alexis Hetzer placed sixth in triple jump. The 2022 State competition was the final competition for NCHS Lady Eagles Track and Field Coach Jackie Schackmann as she is officially retired.
