The Jasper County Health Department received notification the state will be moving into Phase 1b starting Monday, January 18.
Let me explain a little how this will go.
1. We must first find out how much vaccine we will get each week and we will schedule clinics accordingly. It will take several weeks to reach all of Phase 1b so please be patient. If vaccine comes in as expected, we plan to begin with a clinic next week. Scheduling may be available by the end of this week. Please continue to watch our facebook page.
2. We will be prioritizing Phase 1b which means that even if you are in 1b, we may not reach your category of eligibility for a few weeks. I am posting a chart below that shows what categories will be receiving vaccine first. The categories circled in red will be first.
3. We will notify the public of scheduled clinics so you can sign up for your appointment time online. The first scheduled clinics will be for those priority groups on the chart below.
4. Anyone showing up at the clinic without registering in advance and getting a ticket will not be able to receive a vaccine at that time. We will help you schedule your appointment and get a ticket but we must give priority to those who scheduled in advance.
5. Please help your friends and neighbors who may not have access to a printer or internet.
