The Jasper Community Unit 1 School District held a Veterans Day program in which all Newton Elementary, Jasper County Junior High, and Newton Community High School students as well as community members attended on Friday, November 8th. Various students spoke, the band performed songs, Taps was played and Eric Spiker spoke about his time serving.
