Weather Ends Eagles vs Aces Game Early

The Newton Eagles traveled to Mt. Carmel on Friday night where despite a hard-fought battle they fell short when the game was called due to the weather. The Eagles held their ground against the Aces in the first quarter and neither team scored. In the second quarter, the Eagles scored when Quarterback Hayden Mulvey threw the ball to Quincy Fulton who ran the ball into the endzone for a 15 yard gain. The two point conversion was good when Dexter Fulton caught a pass from Mulvey and carried the ball into the endzone. The Aces had two touchdowns in the third and two in the fourth.

Leading the Eagles in rushing was Quincy Fulton with 72 yards and Cole Phillips with 63. In receiving Dexter Fulton had 43 yards and Quincy Fulton had 34. Owen Schackmann recorded 17 and David Ferguson recorded 12.

The Eagles will travel to Olney on Friday with kickoff at 7pm.
