St. Thomas School to Host 13th Annual Duck Race Fundraiser
Newton, IL — St. Thomas School is set to make a splash with its 13th Annual Duck Race on Sunday, August 17th, at the Newton Aquatic Center. The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m., promising a morning of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit — all for a great cause.
Attendees can enjoy free swimming until noon after the race, as a special thank-you to everyone who entered a duck. The highlight of the event? A chance to be the “Lucky Duck” and win a $25 gift certificate to a local business by selecting the right duck number.
The annual duck race is more than just fun — all proceeds benefit St. Thomas School, helping support educational programs and resources for local students.
Organizers encourage the community to “bring a lawn chair and a friend” to enjoy the event, cheer on the racing ducks, and support local education.
