Rodney R. Alexander age 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
Services to celebrate Rodney’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton. Rodney will be laid to rest by his parents in the Brockville Cemetery, Jasper County, Illinois.
Rodney was born on July 2, 1963, in Jasper County, Illinois the son of Roy and Florence (Adams) Alexander. Rodney was retired from Anthem Health, where he was a claims processor.
In April of 1990, Rodney met Steven A. Miller. They married on July 26, 2010 in Vermont. Rodney and Steven have been blessed to share thirty-six years together. Through the years, Rodney and Steven have enjoyed traveling, dining out and spoiling their dogs. Rodney was always laughing. He brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Rodney will be loved and remembered by husband Steven A. Miller of Indianapolis; children, Heidi Hines of Dugger, IN and Hans (Amber) Miller of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, David (Samantha) Hines of Terre Haute, IN, Emily (Tom) Enyeart of Albion, IL, Tabitha (Christian Soseman) Morris of Maricopa, AZ, Amanda (Jacob Luttrell) of Monroe City, IN and Julia (Marvin) Stogdill of Seelyville, IN; great-grandchildren, Khyber Hines, Kamryn Patton and Esmae Stogdill.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents.
