Family Care Associates Welcomes Board-Certified Pediatrician Dr. Jordyn (Huston) Kreke
EFFINGHAM, IL — Family Care Associates is excited to announce that Dr. Jordyn (Huston) Kreke, a board-certified pediatrician, will be joining the practice in August 2026. She is now accepting new patients.
A native of Newton, IL, Dr. Kreke is returning home to care for families in the same community where she was raised. In a full-circle moment, she will now practice at Family Care Associates — the same clinic where she was once a patient herself.
Dr. Kreke completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University before earning her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She then completed her pediatric residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, where she was selected to stay on an additional year as Chief Resident. In that role, she mentored fellow residents while further developing her collaborative approach to patient care.
Dr. Kreke is passionate about building long-term relationships with families and helping children stay healthy through every stage of growth and development. She will provide care for newborns, infants, children, and teens.
“Pediatric care is a partnership,” said Dr. Kreke. “Parents know their children best, and I bring my expertise in child health and development so we can work together to help kids grow into healthy adults.”
Family Care Associates is a physician-owned clinic providing comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages. The practice offers integrated medical and behavioral health services, walk-in acute care, and coordinated care through a collaborative team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and behavioral health professionals. On-site lab and imaging services are also provided.
Dr. Kreke joins Dr. Amanda Bierman and Beth Schumacher, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, in expanding pediatric care at Family Care Associates. Together, the pediatric team provides compassionate, relationship-based care focused on prevention, wellness, continuity of care, and strong partnerships with families.
