17th Annual Nick’s Race

The 17th Annual Nick’s Race will be held on June 22 at Sam Parr State Fish and Wildlife Area at the White Oak picnic section. The course starts on asphalt for a half mile and then continues on a more scenic route totaling 2.85 miles. Once the short trek on asphalt is completed, the remainder of the course consists of trails through the woods, over hills and around the lake on the grass. The walk is non-competitive and is a two mile section of the runner’s course. Due to the terrain, baby strollers/joggers and animals are prohibited on the race course. Headphones are discouraged to ensure participants are able to hear all instructions/announcements from race directors and volunteers.

The run is timed by Kinetic Timing using Champion Chip timing. An overall award will be given to the fastest male and female runners. Awards will also be given to the top 3 men and women in the following age divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.
