The Newton Eagles fell to the Columbia Eagles in Sectional play at Breese Central on Thursday. The game ended when a ground ball to second brought in the 10th run for Columbia in the fifth inning. The Eagles were unable to score against Columbia. Pitching for the Eagles were Carder Reich and Max Meinhart. Carder had 49 pitches with 26 strikes and Max had 57 pitches with 39 strikes.
