Eagles 2-0 With Win Over Flora Wolves

The Newton Eagles defeated the Flora Wolves 5-1 in their home opener on Tuesday. The Eagles got on the board in the bottom fo the fifth inning when Flora committed an error and Payton Harris singled each scoring one run.

Max Meinhart earned the win for the Eagles. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and one run over five and two third innings, striking out eight and walking two. Gus Bierman collected the save for the Eagles.

Dominic Baltzell leads the Eagles with two hits in three at-bats. Harris, Baltzell, and David Ferguson each drove in one run for the Eagles. The Eagles had zero errors.
