
America 250: Jasper County Celebration Set for July 3 in Ste. Marie
As Independence Day approaches, the small but deeply rooted community of Ste. Marie is preparing to host a celebration that blends patriotism, tradition, and hometown pride in a way only a small town can.
The America 250: A Jasper County Celebration will take place on Friday, July 3 at Saint Mary’s Church Grounds and Picquet Park, bringing together families, neighbors, and visitors from across the county for an evening packed with food, music, entertainment, and fireworks.
The event schedule offers something for everyone:
- 2–7 p.m. – Classic Car & Antique Tractor Cruise-In
- 3–8 p.m. – Newton FFA Porkburgers
- 3–? – Newton Knights of Columbus Chicken Dinners
- Lemon shake-ups and additional food vendors
- 3–8:30 p.m. – Bingo and games for all ages
- 3–5:45 p.m. – Live music by Tim Crosby & Oil Chip Road Band
- 5:45 p.m. – National Anthem performed by Brittany Keller
- Beer garden opens
- 5:45–8:30 p.m. – Live music by Little Soco Band
- 8:30–8:45 p.m. – Closing program
- 9 p.m. – Fireworks display
