The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20 will pay for veterans’ meals at the Jasper County Senior Center throughout November in recognition of their service to the country.
The offer applies to both dine-in meals and home-delivered meals through the senior center, located at 904 W. Jourdan St. in Newton.
Veterans who order a meal are asked to state that they are a veteran when placing their order to ensure their meal is covered.
The initiative provides an opportunity to recognize and thank local veterans for their service while helping ensure they have access to meals throughout the month.
