The Newton Marching Eagles had a clean sweep at the Effingham Red Regiment Band Invitational Class 3A. They won Outstanding Percussion, Outstanding Color Guard, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, Outstanding General Effect, First Place in Class 3A and Grand Champion of Classes 1A-3A.
The Newton Marching Eagles performed their final performance at home for the 2023 marching season. The Eagles’ show Grace has won them several awards throughout the season and they will compete one more time on Saturday at Oblong. Friday night, the senior members of the band were recognized.

The Newton Marching Eagles performed their 2023 Marching Band show titled “Grace” at the Eastern Illinois University Marching band Festival in Class 3A. The Eagles received the “Best Percussion” and 2nd place in Class 3A Awards.
