The Newton Marching Eagles ended their field show season with the Oblong Spooktacular. The Marching Eagles will perform both at the Veterans Day program on the square in Newton and in the Christmas Parade on December 10th (weather permitting). The Newton Marching Eagles placed third overall in Class 2A at the University of Illinois Marching Band Championship. The final field show performance for the Newton Marching Eagles will be at Oblong High School at 1 pm on Saturday.

BOOKS FOR BEGINNERS 2022 for all of Jasper County’s kindergarteners took place during HCE WEEK…October 10–14. The 30th annual Marching Eagles Band Classic will be held on October 15, 2022. The first band will take the field at 9 am and the Marching Eagles will perform at 3 pm. Awards will be presented at 3:20 pm. All proceeds from the day will go towards the NCHS
