The Marching Eagles performed at the Edwardsville. The 2019 Marching Eagles show is titled Bloom. The Eagles will be hosting the Newton Band Classic on Saturday, September 28.

The Newton Elementary PTO is hosting their annual Eagle Challenge Color Run on Saturday, October 12th. The Color Run will consist of a 5K Run/Walk and a One Mile Kids Run. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. on the southwest side of the square. The 5K walk begins at 7:45 a.m.

Chris Parr was the second grade Mystery reader for September. He read the Berenstain Bears and The Truth. He read the book to the second grade classes at Newton Elementary.
Mentors and Mentees had the opportunity to meet and get to know each other at Newton Elementary on Thursday, September 12. Throughout the year, the mentors and their students spent time with each other during school once a week.
Representatives of each of the Fall Sports are shown with Sarah Kinkade representing the NCHS Athletic Booster Club. The Booster Club presented each fall sport team with $1,000 to spend on whatever they needed. The Booster Club will continue to do this throughout the school year for each sport.
