The Newton Lady Eagles tennis team defeated Charleston with a final score of 8-1. Newton – 8, Charleston – 1, Singles:No. 1 – Charlotte Schackmann, Newton def. Christine Pschirrer, Charleston, 6-0 , 6-1 No. 2 – Kailee Gough, Charleston def. Paige Klingler, Newton, 6-1 , 2-6 , 10-7 No. 3 – Jailyn

The Lady Eagles volleyball team placed third in the St. Anthony tournament. The team defeated Arcola, Triad, and Unity in pool play. They lost to St. Anthony and then won against Triad again in the 3rd and 4th place game. Opponent: Varsity Tournament at St. Anthony Pool Play Vs Arcola 

The JCJH Eagles baseball team won the regional championship game versus Casey-Westfield with a final score 7-1. Chance Mulvey singled scoring one run, Eli Wolf tripled, scoring two runs and an error scored one run all in the third inning. Wolf started the game for the Eagles and gave up

The Jasper County Junior High Lady Eagles advanced to the state tournament after a 4-3 walk-off victory over Casey-Westfield. At the bottom of the seventh inning Paige Wagner hit a solo home run to right field. The Braves started the scoring in the first inning after an error scored one

The Newton Eagles hosted the Mt. Carmel Aces on Friday, September 15th. The Eagles lost 7-49 with the lone touchdown coming in the third quarter when Quarterback Max Meinhart handed off the ball at the 27 to Drake Wolf who ran it into the endzone for a 24 yard gain.

Eagles improve to 7-2 with a 4-1 win over the aces.  All four goals by Luke Weber, assisted by Nick Brody and Greyson Dow.
