Debra Lynn Gott, age 65, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 7:38 AM – Sunday, February 23, 2020, in Carle
Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Funeral services celebrating Debra’s life will be held at 10:30 AM – Friday, February 28, 2020, at Meyer
Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Ben Woollard and Dwayne Sovdi officiating. Burial will be in the Songer
Cemetery in Rose Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the funeral
home. In loving memory of Debra, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund. The obituary

Debra was born on May 13, 1954, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Clifton Wilson and Francis “Joann”
(Boldrey) Wilson. Debra was sister to Veda Smith, Robinson, Illinois, Dusty (Shirley) Wilson, Robinson, Illinois,
and Doris (the late Robert) Nicholas, Olney, Illinois. After nearly 12 years together, Debra married Danny Gott,
Olney, Illinois, on July 1, 2002. Debra was a mother and grandmother to Son, Shannon (Crystal Ballew)
Woodard, Newton, Illinois, and his children, Morgan, Madalyn and Myah, Son Lance Zuber, Olney, Illinois,
Daughter Amie (Elton) Krasselt, Vienna, Illinois, and her children, Christian and Dakota, and Son Aron
(Elizabeth) Zuber, Olney, Illinois, and his children, Taylor and Ethan.
Debra was a 1973 graduate of Newton Community High School, and she wore many working hats over the
years. Her favorite was as CNA at the Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney. She loved her family and was a
very proud mother. She loved to joke and laugh, and she loved to give to others. Her giggle was one easily
recognized.
Most importantly, Debra was grounded in her faith, and now rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus. She is
survived by her husband Danny, three siblings, four children and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in
death by her parents.
