Students, parents, and staff gathered Wednesday morning in the gymnasium at Jasper County Junior High School as the school hosted its annual 8th Grade Recognition Breakfast, celebrating the accomplishments and character of the graduating class.
The event recognized students for their achievements both inside and outside the classroom while giving families an opportunity to celebrate the milestone together before the students transition to high school.
In addition to the special recognition awards, students were also honored for achieving Fourth Quarter Honor Roll status, recognizing their dedication and academic success during the final quarter of the school year.
Special awards were presented in several categories highlighting qualities that teachers and staff believe represent the values of the school community.
The Department Award, presented by Mrs. Harris, honored students who demonstrate a passion for their subject area and a strong desire to learn.
The Attitude Award, presented by Mr. Michels, recognized students who consistently show positivity, gratitude, and acceptance toward others.
The Leadership Award, presented by Mrs. Weiler, celebrated students who display integrity, responsibility, and the ability to inspire those around them.
The Citizenship Award, presented by Mrs. Runde, honored students who exemplify compassion, respect, and honesty in their daily interactions.
Throughout the morning, students were applauded for their hard work, character, and growth during their junior high years. The breakfast served as both a celebration of accomplishments and a meaningful sendoff as the Class of 2030 prepares for the next chapter of their educational journey.
