





















































































The Jasper County Junior High Lady Eagles advanced to the state tournament after a 4-3 walk-off victory over Casey-Westfield. At the bottom of the seventh inning Paige Wagner hit a solo home run to right field.
The Braves started the scoring in the first inning after an error scored one run. They then added to the lead in the top of the third after a single and an error each scoring a run. The Eagles captured the lead 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh when Jorjia Reich singled and with Wagner’s home run.
Lexie Ghast pitched the game allowing five hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out seven and walking zero.
The Lady Eagles’ first round of play will be at Champions Field in Normal at 2 pm on September 22nd.
