The Newton Community High School band and chorus departments took the stage for their annual spring concert this afternoon, delivering an event filled with music, recognition, and meaningful moments for students and the community.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the recognition of Lucy Bierman for her achievement in Illinois Music Education Association (IMEA), an honor that reflects her dedication and musical talent among the top student musicians in the state.
The concert also featured a special performance of “Battle Hymn,” bringing together both current chorus members and alumni. The combined group performed under the direction of Jeffrey Finley, creating a powerful and memorable moment that bridged generations of NCHS singers.
