Sharon Kay Reisner was born on November 15, 1939 to Charles and Eva Glosser. She was the youngest of 10 children. She married Kenny Ray Reisner on July 5, 1957. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1980.

Kay was a devoted mother to two daughters Nila (Richard) Smith and Mindy (Andrew) Browning. She was a loving grandmother to grandson Robert Browning; step-grandchildren Rick (Becky) Smith, Chasity (Chad) Claypool; and great-granddaughters Caitlyn and Chelsie Claypool, Rachel and Rylee Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Kenny Glosser, many very special nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Dorothy Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Herman, Charles Jr., and Johnny; five sisters Clarice Coleman, Mary Sharp, Delene Bowman, Hazel, and Wilma; brothers-in-law Gene Coleman, Chester Sharp, Richard Bowman; and three beloved nephews.

Kay was a Christian who believed strongly in a heavenly mansion and a joyous reunion with those who preceded her. She was devoted to her church family and spent many years serving the church in various ways. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who took great pleasure in staying at home and taking care of her family. She loved to garden, take care of her yard, cook, sew, and embroider. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her find-a-words. In her later years she was a wonderful pet parent to her little dog Mandy who preceded her in death, many fury felines, and an excellent pet grandparent to Robert’s dog Abby.

Kay was a strong, independent person who longed to live out her days taking care of herself, her home and her fur babies, and God had granted her, her last wish.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hidalgo Independent Christian Church
