Newton Marching Eagles Color Guard Invites Students to “Spin, Perform, Soar”

NEWTON — Students looking for a fun, high-energy way to get involved at Newton Community High School have an exciting opportunity coming up as the Marching Eagles Color Guard prepares to welcome new members.

A Color Guard clinic and informational session will be held Tuesday, May 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the NCHS High School Gym, giving students a chance to learn more about the program and try it out for themselves.

Color Guard is a key part of the Marching Eagles, adding visual excitement and artistry to performances through choreographed routines using flags, rifles, and dance. From halftime shows to competitions, members of the Color Guard help bring each performance to life.

Best of all, no prior experience is required. Students who attend will be introduced to basic techniques and skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment. It’s an opportunity not only to learn something new, but also to build confidence, make friends, and be part of a group that represents Newton with pride.

The Marching Eagles have built a strong tradition of excellence, and the Color Guard plays an important role in that success—both on the field and in the community.

Students who have ever considered joining—or even those just curious—are encouraged to attend.

After all, as the Marching Eagles say: Spin. Perform. Soar.

And for those willing to take that first step, it could be the start of something truly unforgettable.
