Chapter FN of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met July 9 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Chaplain Renee Hartigan gave devotions from Proverbs 31:25-30. A paper drive will be held on July 20 from 7AM–Noon at the Schackmann Insulation building on Van Buren St. in Newton. Bring us your recycleable papers. No glossy papers or magazines. Computer paper, newspapers and school papers acceptable. Time to prep the classrooms or clean out old office paper!

Family Tree Ministry food distribution. Next month it’s Thursday, Aug 8 at 5:30pm. No income requirements, must be Jasper county resident, bring proof if never been before. Bring bags, boxes or baskets to put your items in. Call 783-3744 if you have questions.

The American Legion Jasper Post 20 will be having a drive through on Friday, June 12 from 10:30 to 1:00 with smoked pulled pork sandwiches ($3.00) and pulled pork nachos ($3.00). Soda and water will also be available. For large orders to be delivered can call ahead at 783-2622 (Legion)
