Preschool and Kindergarten Screenings for Jasper County Unit 1 will be held on Friday, May 17th from 8:30 am to 4 pm and Monday, May 20th from 11 am to 6:30 pm. Preschool is for children ages three to five, whose birthdays fall on 9-2-19 through 9-1-21 for those interested in your child attending any of the county wide preschool programs for the 2024-2025 school year. Any child currently enrolled in preschool for school year 2023-24 who will not be kindergarten age 2024-25 will need to be screened again for next year.
Kindergarten is for all children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024.
All screenings will be held at Ste. Marie Elementary School 311 Franklin St., Ste. Marie, IL, 62450. Appointments can be made starting April 2nd through May 1st, no walk in appointments will be permitted. The Masonic Lodge will also be available for any parent interested in signing up for the free service of The Illinois Masonic Family Identification Program.
Children have to be screened before they can attend a school program.
