
The 2026 Jasper County Fair is set to return to Newton with a full week of tradition, entertainment, and community celebration, running June 21 through June 27.
A longtime staple in Jasper County, the fair continues to bring together families, friends, and visitors for a mix of agriculture, competition, and grandstand excitement. With roots dating back to 1870, the event remains one of the county’s most anticipated summer gatherings.
Festivities will kick off on Sunday, June 21 with the Jasper County Queen Contest, a highlight that celebrates local young women and their involvement in the community. The excitement continues Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23 with harness racing, a fair favorite that showcases both speed and skill on the track.
Midweek brings a shift in energy as the Whippoorwill Rodeo rides into town on Wednesday, June 24, offering a night of classic rodeo action. On Thursday, June 25, engines will roar during the Truck and Tractor Pull, drawing competitors and fans from across the region.
Friday, June 26 will introduce something new to the grandstand lineup this year — donkey races. The addition brings a fresh and entertaining twist to the fair schedule and is expected to quickly become a crowd favorite.
The fair wraps up on Saturday, June 27 with the ITPA Tractor and Truck Pull, closing out the week with horsepower and hometown pride.
In addition to the grandstand lineup, the carnival will run June 23 through June 27, providing rides, games, and fun for all ages throughout the fairgrounds.
