NCHS Marching Eagles Drum Majors Mystery Readers for Second Grade
The Newton Marching Eagles Drum Majors were the mystery readers for the second grade classes today. Emily Ross and Mabry Mitchell read a book to the students and talked about being a drum major.

HCE Members read Bug In A Rug to the kindergarten classes at Ste. Marie School and St. Thomas during the past week, as part of Books For Beginners day. Each student and classroom teacher were given a copy of the book.

Effingham Marching Hearts Competition
The Newton Marching Eagles performed their show in Class 4A competition at the Effingham Marching Hearts Competition. They won Outstanding Percussion, Outstanding Colorguard, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, Outstanding General Effect, and 1st Place in Class 4A.
