Jasper County voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 3, for the 2026 General Election, with a lengthy ballot featuring federal, state, regional, county and judicial races, along with a countywide tax proposition.
A preview of the Jasper County ballot, dated Sept. 21, was released by Jasper County Clerk and Recorder Amy Tarr. The Illinois State Board of Elections confirms the General Election will be held Nov. 3, with polls statewide scheduled to be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Federal races
The U.S. Senate race on the Jasper County ballot includes:
- Don Tracy — Republican
- Juliana Stratton — Democratic
- Whitfield Harrington Jr. — American Center Party
The 12th Congressional District race features:
- Mike Bost — Republican
- Julie Fortier — Democratic
Statewide offices
For Governor and Lieutenant Governor, voters will see:
- Darren Bailey / Aaron B. Del Mar — Republican
- JB Pritzker / Christian Mitchell — Democratic
- Collin Corbett / Carolyn Schofield — Independent
The ballot also includes races for the following statewide offices:
Attorney General
- Robert W. Fioretti — Republican
- Kwame Raoul — Democratic
Secretary of State
- Diane M. Harris — Republican

Jasper County voters will also cast ballots for state legislative offices.
For State Senator, 51st Legislative District:

- No Democratic candidate listed on the preview ballot
For State Representative, 102nd Representative District:

- No Democratic candidate listed on the preview ballot
Regional superintendent races
Three Regional Superintendent of Schools races appear on the Jasper County ballot.
For the region covering Bond, Christian, Effingham, Fayette and Montgomery counties:
- Julie Wollerman — Democratic
For the region covering Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie and Shelby counties:
- Kyle Thompson — Republican
For the region covering Clay, Crawford, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland counties:
- Jeremy Brush — Republican

For Judge of the Appellate Court, Fifth Judicial District, to fill a vacancy:

Voters will also be asked whether to retain the following judges:
- John B. Barberis Jr. — Judge of the Appellate Court, Fifth Judicial District
- Stanley M. Brandmeyer — Judge of the Circuit Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit
- Martin W. Siemer — Judge of the Circuit Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit
- Joel J.C. Powless — Judge of the Circuit Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit
Each judicial retention question provides voters with a Yes or No option.
Countywide proposition
The second page of the ballot contains a countywide proposition concerning the Special Materials Tax Levy.
The proposition asks whether the county should continue a special materials tax levy at a rate of $0.0833 for use on all county highways in Jasper County for the next five years.
Voters will be asked to select Yes or No.
Voting information
Illinois’ 2026 General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3. Early voting is available through Nov. 2, and voters may also vote by mail. The State Board of Elections says applications for vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the election authority by Oct. 29.
Jasper County voters should review both sides of their ballot before voting, as the preview ballot contains races and questions on both pages.
