Newton Community High School’s Homecoming celebration included plenty of school spirit and friendly competition Friday as students took to the football field for the annual Powderpuff football game.
The Powderpuff game of Juniors versus Seniors has become a popular Homecoming tradition at NCHS, giving students an opportunity to step out of their usual roles and take part in a spirited game of flag football the Junior team winning.
With classmates, friends and family gathered to watch, the players brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the field. The game provided another opportunity for students to show their school spirit while enjoying some friendly competition as part of a busy Homecoming week.
The event was filled with cheers from the sidelines and plenty of excitement on the field, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding Friday’s Homecoming activities.
The Powderpuff game was one of several events leading up to Friday night’s Homecoming football game against the Paris Tigers, as NCHS students and alumni came together throughout the day to celebrate Newton Community High School and its Homecoming traditions.
From the parade and Powderpuff game to the Homecoming festivities at the football game, Friday provided a full day of school spirit and community celebration for the Eagles.
